How much does strategic IT guidance cost?
Strategic guidance is included in every IntermixIT Managed IT agreement at no separate cost.
There is no hourly consulting meter and no separate strategy retainer. Roadmaps, budgets, and quarterly reviews are part of how we manage your environment. If you have internal IT and want planning support only, we scope that as part of a co-managed agreement.
What happens in a quarterly business review?
Every quarter you get a one-page scorecard covering security posture, roadmap progress, budget versus plan, aging hardware, and support trends, followed by a working session on what comes next.
The review is written for owners and executives, not engineers. You leave each QBR knowing exactly what improved, what is at risk, what we recommend next, and what it will cost, so nothing on the roadmap ever surprises you.
Do you work with internal IT teams?
Yes. In a co-managed arrangement your internal team keeps day-to-day ownership while IntermixIT adds vCIO planning, budgeting support, and an outside read on risk.
Many internal IT leads value a second set of eyes on the roadmap and someone to help make the business case for the projects they already know are needed.
How fast do we get our first roadmap?
You see your first prioritized Technology Action Plan during onboarding, and your first full roadmap and budget within your first quarter as a client.
We start with discovery: what you run, what is aging, what your business is planning, and where the risk sits. The plan is prioritized by business impact, so the most expensive risks are addressed first, not the easiest tickets.
What is not included in strategic IT guidance?
Strategic guidance covers planning, budgeting, and advisory work. Project implementation, such as a migration or an office buildout, is scoped and quoted separately before any work begins.
That separation is deliberate: it keeps the roadmap honest. You always see what a recommendation costs before you approve it, and you are never billed for surprise project work.
Can you help with compliance and cyber insurance requirements?
Yes. We align your environment to frameworks such as CIS Controls and HIPAA, maintain the documentation, and complete cyber insurance questionnaires with you.
We are your IT partner, not a certification body, so we prepare you for audits rather than issue them. Renewal season stops being a scramble because the evidence insurers ask for already exists.
