What is AI Ascent: Foundation?
A structured engagement that gives your business a secure, governed AI foundation: eight deliverables across discovery, security, policy, and planning.
We interview leadership and departments, inventory real AI usage including shadow accounts, run the technical readiness scan with a SharePoint and OneDrive permission review, score your readiness, and deliver the policies, guardrails, approved tools, and 90-day plan. Enablement then remediates what the scan found.
Do we need this if we already block AI tools?
Blocking rarely works. AI is in browsers, phones, and personal accounts, and the productivity pull is too strong.
Bans push usage into the shadows where you cannot see or protect it. Governance works with the pull instead: approved tools, clear rules, and a secured environment, so the productivity stays and the exposure goes.
How much does AI Ascent cost?
Foundation is a one-time, flat-fee engagement. From there, AI Enablement continues as a monthly partnership.
Exact numbers depend on your team size and the complexity of your Microsoft 365 environment, and are quoted after a short intro call, so there are never surprise invoices.
How long does it take?

And because your data lives in Microsoft 365 either way, Foundation includes a technical scan of your tenant: SharePoint and OneDrive sharing, sensitivity labels, data governance, and identity settings, delivered as a scored report. Whichever AI you choose only sees what it should.
What is not included in Foundation?
Foundation and Enablement cover strategy, governance, and guidance. Implementation work is always scoped separately.
Automations, integrations, data platform projects, and custom builds are quoted as defined projects with clear pricing approved before work begins. Your roadmap tells you which are worth doing and in what order, and Enablement keeps that list prioritized.
Can this help with compliance and cyber insurance requirements?
Yes. Ungoverned AI is now a compliance and insurance question, and Foundation answers it with documentation.
